We had 80 Campers last year and 75 Campers this year
Cadets and Juniors (so far as you can still sign up for this tournament on site) 2010 - 282 2011 - 291
Kids Divisions 2010 - 180 2011 - 166
We had over 300 Kansas FS/GR wrestlers at our state tournament just two weeks ago and only 194 have signed up for Southern Plains.
I pushed really hard to get the camp number up over 100 but it looks like I didn't even get 1/2 of the Kansas participants to attend the camp. Any ideas?

You can lead a horse to water!!!
The only thing I can think of that might get the numbers up is promote this as a showcase for college coaches and get as many college coaches as possible to Hays. Work with area hotels to get the college coaches discount rates while they are in town or put them up on campus. This is what they do in other sports and in works.... Southern Plains Wrestling Camp and Showcase.. has a nice ring to it don't ya think??
