We are excited to let the wrestling community know that Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska will be fielding a Women’s wrestling team for the 2011-2012 season. We plan to compete in the WCWA organization as well as the USAWrestling sanctioned events. Coach Vest will head up the women’s program as well as continuing with the men’s program. Courtney Martell, a Missouri Valley graduate, has signed on to help start the program. We are very excited to be starting a Women’s program in this part of the country and look forward to building a place for young women to get a quality education while working to achieve their goals in wrestling.
