As I read the minutes from the State Body meeting, I was pleased to see the 2001 State Tournament made a profit of "$19,120.66". Then I read on and saw the entry fee into the state tournament is being increased to "$12.00".
This is from the same individuals whom seemingly, are against the increase in the USA Cards, required for competition at sanctioned events.
I'm not for sure if the Executive Council is for increases or not. When is enough profit for an organization such as this, when the profit comes from its members and their families. Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.

It may not make a difference in your opinion but it should be pointed out that the Executive Counsel only made the recomendation that the entry fee go up to $12. It was the State Body as a whole that voted and passed the motion that actuall caused the increase. This motion was made at the State meeting which had a very high attendance. As I recall the vote was overwhelmingly for the increase.
