Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle New Dual Tournament?

I would like to gauge the interest level for a dual tournament on Sunday- March 11, 2011 held in Topeka, KS. We would offer two divisions elementary (K-5) and HS (9-12). We would run it in a similar format as the Park Hill Duals. Eight full mats in two side-by-side High School gyms.

Yes, Sunday following Subs. If there is enough interest, we would host at Washburn Rural High School which is the locaiton of D1N Sud-district tournament.

This would be a folkstyle tourney. As of now, I have excluded the Middle School division so not to interfer with the Middle School State Tourney the same day in Lindsborg.

Mark I think you'll find great interest but u might consider a different day MS states that day and a lot will be there so they can go to MS duals in Iowa

What about 6th 7th & 8th grade? Park Hill you can wrestle up until 9th grade. It should be K thru 8th if you ask me.

6th, 7th and 8th graders will probably me at middle school state tournament. This is why they aren't and shouldn't be included. JMO
