On Thursday, December 8th at 7 p.m. , come support Shocker Wrestling and the Kansas Food Bank as Wichita State hosts their first home dual ever. They will be taking on the Kansas State Wildcats in an NCWA Southwest Conference matchup. The dual will take place at the Heskett Center, on the campus of Wichita State University, on the upstairs courts. To enter, a donation of a canned food item or $1 is recommended. All donations will go to support the Kansas Food Bank!!!
Peace, Nick Thomas Wichita State Wrestling

you think if all the clubs in the wichita area showed up for this that wsu would actually take a look at adding a d1 wrestling school in kansas finally. something for all the local clubs to think about. i know most of us practice that night but i would show up if that would be a start of them actually taking a serious look at wrestling. if more people show up for this than other sports i dont see how they couldnt take a look at it.

Most clubs will have practice tonight, week of Ark. City tournament and there is highschool matches tonight and KSU vs. West Virg @ the arena. Wished it would have been on a Wed.

Our club (Clearwater Youth) is taking the night off to come support WSU. Carroll said they would be there as well. I understand the challenge. We would appreciate an clubs doing the same.

Everyone go, and go as often as you can, it will be worth the investment to Kansas wrestling. I believe that if WSU would start a program, with all the great wrestlers just in the Wichita area, they could field a team that could compete at a high level in D1 the first year. Obviously we lose a lot of good kids to out of state teams, but even worse, we have a lot of really good wrestlers that do not compete beyond high school because Kansas has no D1 program to entice them.

SF02, I think he was referring to anyone from Manhattan coming down to watch it was there is a "big" basketball game going on in Manhattan.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the fans that showed up for our dual, and donated the canned food items and cash donations to the Kansas Food Bank.
We will be delivering the items on Monday. I was blown away by the support we received last night. It truly was standing room only. Next time we want to do it bigger and better. (Koch Arena sounds awesome).
I want to thank Kstate for matching up with our guys in the exhibition matches. They were able to get a lot of work in last night. I'm very proud of our Schockers for putting the work in to make this thing happen. Great job guys.
I also want to thank my friends at Bishop Carroll Jr. Wrestling and Clearwater Youth Wrestling. Thank you for bringing the clubs and I noticed a lot of Carroll high schoolers and supporters in the crowd. Clearwater, you guys showed why I'm so proud to be a part of your club. And Eddie, thanks for bringing the guys from Independent. We also saw Coach Knox and some TOHK folks in the crowd too.
I know I am forgetting several folks, and I apologize for that, but please know that your support was sincerely appreciated. Thanks so much,
In Wrestling
