nathan lamb should have won the match in the third period, but unfortunately the ref didn't know what he was doing so he lost in trip overtime.

If he SHOULD have won in the 3rd period, then why didn't he go ahead and win in OT?

Not a memorable first post...

He DIDN'T win in overtime, but he DID win in regulation. They called two while Defore was on his back with no control for either wrestler. Those refs at 3a tournaments sure make you wonder...

Not hating but I just about rolled out of my seat.

You can blame the bad refs on X Man. Since he has made everyone believe that 6a, oops now 5a, wrestling (whatever class Goddard is in) is the best, the GOOD refs only want to work tourneys with 5a schools in them............;)

Just when I about regain composure, I roll out of my chair again. Thanks for nothing but the lump on my head.
But 5A would be the best whether Goddard was there or not. Its all about Ark City, Andover Central, Newton, St.Thomas Aquinas, Emporia, Lansing, Valley Center, Hays, Kapaun, etc. etc. etc. Just think how ferocious 5A would be if Pittsburg and McPherson hadn't gone to 4A.
And oh yeah, Goddard is in 5A too now, again.

You know I'm just jacking with you. I'll admit 5a is nails tough this year, if you'll go back and admit 4a was bada$$ tough in years past............

It's very easy from a spectators point of view to blame the official for that match, but to call them poor because they ref a 3A tournament is ridiculous. The entire crew that worked the Fredonia tournament did a fabulous job. I saw the call in question, and it was a very quick two that was given, and not to blame the wrestler, but if you put yourself in the position to make it close and the official makes a decision, albeit, maybe a questionable call, it's not the official to blame. That was a very quick scramble right up until the absolute very last fraction of a second. Where I was standing I might not have given the two, but that is why I am coaching and not reffing. Back off the officials, they did a great job.

Just to clarify, it wasn't doug747 that complained about the refs, I simply made a sarcastic comment aimed at XMan and his coffee (??!!) induced rants from over the years............

Oh man doug747, is that all you got? I was expecting you to come back with something along the lines of "XMan, you fell and hit your head and that's why you are making crazy comments about how bada$$ 5a is". I was all ready to come back with a "no worry, I got the instant cure for that headache, a big mug of coffee and a tasty 13 inch chili dog".

Of course I know you are jacking with me, you always are. And I will never go back and admit that "4a has been bada$$ tough in years past....", but I will admit that "4a is always bada$$ tough".



Ah man, what the heck? I thought we were buds. I really don't consider my very witty and elaborately crafted and worded comments "coffee induced rants". They are merely accurately and logically stated responses to the posts, some of which are bozo I might add, that I am exposed to.
