Were the state pairing a secret I thought the district pairing were 1vs3 and 2vs4 was just across the board but don't know for sure. But with the new fangled technology can't we just release the brackets On Trackwrestling
Jon Trowbridge Ive never had the fear of getting beat thats how most people lose.

Jon You're kind of right. 1vs3....2vs4....only 1st vs 4th. Where are the 2 and 3 seeds going to be put in the bracket? Yes, 2vs3 from each district, but where? According to earlier posts, they wouldn't tell us due to kids trying to play the bracket by FF or injury default to make it an easier road at state. Funny you get this far and who you wrestle is key? Its STATE, who wants it worse!

Spexy,
Very good point. If wrestlers are trying to jockey for position prior to wrestling at State, I don't agree with that. Wrestle your best each and every match and see where you finish at the end of the season.

You guys are making this way to hard. It has been published for months and is in your state packet and posted that D1 vs D4 first round and D2 vs D3 first round and then a standard 16 man bracket... So D1 1st place vs D4 fourth place and D1 2nd goes against D4 3rd.... D2 1st vs D3 4th and D2nd vs D3 3rd.....

why cant we just wrestle a 16 man round robin. its about mat time right. that would give plenty of mat time and probably justify the true state placers just in case someone wrestles a bad match and loses. also it would make the kids sleep for a week afterward since they have just wrestled 15 matches in 2 days. now thats some wrestling lol

You are right johnny b, that's exactly how it was last year. Do they use this same layout every year?

does anyone know when the brackets are going to be released? I checked the teams on trackwrestling and there is a problem with the numbers they say we have going and the actual number we have going.

If you are truly eager to figure out the bracket pairings, in 2009 the pairings were 1vs4 also. On the home page of this site there is a link that says Results. Click that. Click March 14 2009. Click groups on the trackwrestling page that opens up.This will tell you who placed where in their District. Now you can plug in the new names in each respective spot for each District placing according to where they are in the bracket shown. Otherwise the deadline for info releasing states March 20th at 7am.

Since the seedings for State are strictly done on how the wrestlers finished at Districts, I don't understand why there is not a challeng match for 2nd?

Incorrect!
The brackets are released and this is not the format. As mentioned earlier on this forum the placements of the two's and three's must not have been known until this week.
