#10 Neosho Panthers vs. #2 Labette Cardinals

This Thursday the #10 nationally ranked Panther Wrestling team will host #2 ranked Labette Community College at 7:30pm. Both squads have participated in two events coming into this dual with Labette being in two tournaments and the Panthers scoring a win at Arkansas Baptist and then competing in the Baker Open this past weekend. Labette is the defending NJCAA National Champions while Neosho CCC finished 11th in the nation. Featured in Labette’s lineup will be individual National Champions Devon Aguirre at 165 lbs. and Ethan Orr at 174 lbs. who are ranked #1 and #2 respectively. The Cardinals also return All Americans in Eric Hughes 133 lbs., Jeromy Davenport 157 lbs., and Trey Page at 285. Leading the way for the Panthers is #1 ranked Le’Roy Barnes who finished 3rd last year at 133 lbs. Also receiving a ranking at 12th is Kyle Graumenz at 149. Special mention goes to Tim Prescott at 125, Terrence Moore at 141, and Blaine Hill at 165. “This will be a true gauge at where our guys are at for this early part of the season,” Head Coach Wayne Petterson said. “As usual there should and will be some hotly contested matches where being this early all segments will be important, including digging down deep for that heart and soul.”
