Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Clay Center Tournament

Is Clay Center having a varsity wrestling tournament this year (2012-13)? If so, would someone provide the date and the teams.

According to KWCA website, it is December 8th with Beloit, Clay Center, Garden City, Junction City, Holton, Marysville, Norton, Rock Creek, and Salina South attending.

Start Time 9AM
9 team round robin tournament with 2 pools that will advance to a final bout for the top 3 wrestlers in each pool. Pool A with then Face Pool B in the finals.
The teams are listed above. Should be a solid tournament with some great individual matchups.

One more question - is there going to be a 'set in stone' start-up time for the finals?

No set time. It is a round robin tournament and it is hard to judge until I know the number of entries. I can say from past experiences we have started the finals around 4:30 PM. We will wrestle and score the top 6 placers in each weight class. Great brackets for the champions in each weight class.
