Developing situation in the 5A 113 losers bracket.

Remember the Mill Valley 5A regional. Two Catholic school wrestlers refused to wrestle a girl. The girl advanced unopposed to the regional championship match and to the State Tournament as a #2 seed. The 2 Catholic boys who defaulted advanced through the back side to the State Tournament.

At the State tournament the girl was defeated in the first round, as was a boy wrestler from Wichita Carol Catholic HS. Also, one of the Catholic boys who refused to wrestle the girl at Mill Valley was defeated in the second round and is now again a potential opponent of the girls if the Wichita Carrol wrestler elects to default. If this happens will the Catholic boy choose to default a second time

Wichita Carroll is not a part of the KCK archdiocese, thus the rule does not apply to him. Why would he default against the girl?

Let's wait and see! I understand Topeka Hayden wrestlers will not wrestle girls and I don't think Hayden is part of the KC archdiocese. Think I have heard that Catholics from other schools have also refused. Might be or may not be true---still ironic that this situation ha come up after the Mill Valley Regional---I think another poster previously ID the 1st round losers bracket situation--don't know if anyone saw the 2nd round possibility.

Are they going to wrestle the 1st round losers bracket tonight? Does not the last released schedule say tonight?
