www.trackwrestling.com. Each club will be responsible for inputting their wrestlers into this system. Your club contact will be receiving a trackwrestling statistician user name and password by email notification once your team has been set-up in trackwrestling.com. ONLY the club contact can enter information for their clubs. The deadline for entering your wrestler’s information into the
www.trackwrestling.com site is March 6th, 2013 at 11:59pm. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO THE SYSTEM AFTER THIS DATE WITHOUT PAYING A $50 LATE PENALTY FEE TO DISTRICT 1 USAW-KS. Once you have entered a wrestler into the system there will be NO REFUND even if you scratch them at the seeding meeting. You must have a Kansas Kids Release Form for each wrestler, complete with all information with signature of the parent and/or guardian. When registering your wrestlers, REMEMBER 6 & under and novice records cannot be used please rate you wrestlers with the separation criteria provided in trackwrestling. Coaches must have a Bronze Card and a USA Coaches Card. All wrestling entry forms and payment must be brought to the seeding meeting on March 10th, 2013 at Burlington High School, or mailed to Lonnie Woodman, 4948 NE Indian Creek Rd Topeka, KS 66617 before the March 6th deadline OR your wrestler will not be entered into the tournament.
SEEDING MEETINGS – The state requires entry deadline be 10 days prior to the initial qualifying tournament in each District after which no additional entries may be made without paying a penalty fee of $50. At the seeding meeting, weight or age corrections or scratches may be made in all age groups, including walk-on wrestlers, prior to the start of seeding the wrestlers without requiring a penalty fee. Additional entries may be made in writing one hour prior to the published start time of the seeding meeting, but any such entrant must pay a penalty fee. Once the seeding starts, there will be no changes, or additions allowed except in the case of clerical errors by the tournament director. The District 1 seeding meeting will be held following our general district meeting on March 10th, 2013 at 12:00pm. The location of the District 1 seeding meeting is Burlington High School 830 Cross St, Burlington, KS 66839.
RULES:
All wrestlers must have a current USAW card and be entered as part of a USAW sanctioned KS club (no independent entries). All wrestlers will follow all rules for USAW Kansas Kids Sanctioned Tournaments. Club directors will be held responsible for the actions of all their wrestlers, coaches and parents. Fingernails will be checked at weigh-in. As in the past, the hair rule is that it must be contained in some type of skull cap if it does not meet the criteria by the high school rule book. No wrestler will be permitted to wrestle with ANY type of communicable skin disease. Each wrestler with signs of communicable disease should have a NFHS Medical Release Form at the time of weigh in, which must be filled out by a physician and dated within the last six days along with a note from a doctors note pad signed. A copy of the NFHS release form must also be with the wrestler at all times at the tournament for review upon request.
Reminder that if you do not show up for the seeding meeting do not complain about the seeding your wrestler receives.

These are the weight classes determined by the State Body Meeting, November 1995, and modified September 1999, October 2007 and October 2010. Age classifications were changed November 1996 and October 2009 (High School Division).
MEDALS: Medals will be awarded to top 4 placers.
WEIGH-IN: Friday Night 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday 6:00am - 7:00 am
COACHES MEETING: 8:00 am Saturday morning
WRESTLING STARTS: 9:00 AM
No one will be allowed on the Gym Floor without a Coaches Band. Please make sure you tell your Parents.
THERE WILL BE NO FOOD ALLOWED IN THE BIG GYM AND NO TABACO USE IN THE SCHOOL.
NO HEELIES OR SHOES WITH WHEELS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR ANYONE. WE WILL REMOVE THE WHEELS FROM THE SHOES AND YOU WILL NOT GET THEM BACK UNTIL YOU ARE LEAVING THE TOURNAMENT. THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU CONSIDER HOW MANY PEOPLE ATTEND THIS TOURNAMENT.

TABLE WORKERS NEEDED
Topeka Blue Thunder and Jr. Viking Wrestling Club would like to open up the offer for volunteers that would like to work a table. This experience would give you the opportunity to learn matside scoring for track wrestling. We ask that you provide 3 workers per table that would work all day. Free admission and lunch is provided. The tables will be issued on a first come basis and is limited. Please contact me by March 9th with the following information: Club Name, Names of Workers and Phone Number or Email Address, Table Age Preference.
We will also be seeking volunteers for the District 1 championship qualifier on March 23rd, 2013 and State on March 29th and 30th, 2013. If you are interested in working a table at that event please let Barb know.
