As usual, Bonner Springs Wrestling Club will be hosting Freestyle and Greco-Roman practices every Monday and Wednesday at 6PM starting on April 1. April is an important month to begin wrestling these styles, there are 3 local tournaments!

THIS IS A FREE OPPORTUNITY!!! All ages and skill levels are welcome. You must have a current USA Wrestling card. T-Shirts will be available for purchase.

Practices will not be longer than 1 hour, with an emphasis on technique, postitioning, and strategy. With the current rules, freestyle and greco roman wrestling is very technical and strategic. If and when the rules change, our practices will adapt to these new rules. About 45 minutes of each practice will be technique oriented, and 15 minutes toward live wrestling. All practices will be aligned with USA Wrestling's Core Curriculum and Kansas National Team philosophies.

Coaching Staff:
Jacob Beck
Assistant Coach - Bonner Springs High School
Kansas National Team Coach - Juniors

Brandon Jobe
Head Coach - Bonner Springs High School
Kansas National Team Coach - Cadets

If you want to be a stud in Folkstyle, wrestle Freestyle and Greco!!!

Where are the three tournaments? If we have enough interest we can probably have one in Eudora as well.

April 6 - Blue Chip Ultimate Freestyle Tournament
Blue Springs, MO

April 20 - Blue Chip Fight or Flight FS/GR Tournament
Stayley, MO

April 27 - Blue Chip Black and Blue Tournament
St. James Academy

ALSO...

May 4 - State Freestyle and Greco Tournament
Hutchison, KS

These tournaments are very important because after the state tournament, there are not many local opportunities to wrestle. Whether you are a beginner, or expererienced wrestler, get to these tournaments!!! Team Kansas dual teams (Schoolboy, Cadet, Junior) are selected from the state tournament!
