Congratulations to Kendric Maple (Wichita Heights HS) of Oklahoma on winning a National Championship!
I believe Kendric has become just the 5th native Kansan to win a National Title.
Also, congratulations to his high school coaches and kids' wrestling coaches on this marvelous feat. The wrestling community in this state is producing more and more outstanding wrestlers than ever before. The amount of "Kansas kids" who were crowned All-Americans this year at all levels - JUCO, Division III, Division II, and Divison I was remarkable. Thank you everyone for your hard work.
