To all the clubs that put people and principles before profit, THANK YOU!
$20/$25 entry fee for a regular tournament is too much. Unless you're at a big venue like the casino or Hartman, how do you justify thoughs prices? Maybe I'm missing something? Oklahoma has tournaments every weekend for $15 and 1st-4th get trophies.

There are a lot more expenses now days here in KS due to the whining and complaning of parents wanting to talent surf results.

Utilizing Track Wrestling cost money it isn't free, renting the score clocks isn't free, using one of the many "experts" to assit in the running of the tournament on TW is another cost since most of us (myself included) aren't super programmers to understand it. Although I heard it is fairly easy but one less thing for me to worry about.

The belts, tophies OW awards and team awards all cost money. In gettin gready for the tounament you have to get enough of those for every weight class eventhough there is no garuntee that they will all sign up.

My oldest son wrestled 20 years ago and tournaments were 12-15 back then, with all day long, crappy medals, flip cards, same day weigh ins, very little changes for weight.

Far as OK I think they are trying so hard to compete with each other that the lower the better.

Ted anderson, Kick off, JOC, Tulsa Nationals are close in price to the same price if not more.

Also there are $15 tournaments out there still, they are the smaller 300-500 kid tournaments that are a little more remote.

You can't compete with dates with Derby, Maize, Valley Center, Bishop Carroll, Hutchinson, Goddard, Salina, Wichita Classic they are just good tournamaents with proven great competion and awards.

I also remembering paying $2-$3 for admission into some of those 15 dollar OK tournaments also.

2 parents 4-6 bucks makes up your $20 at the minimum.
