I am curious: Is there a place where you can find the number of kids that typically finish a season in 5A.
When we were a 6A School we typically started with 60-70 wrestlers and when it was said and done ended with 35-40.
However, this season we started with around 45 wrestlers and are sitting at about 35-37 that will complete the season. We are down around 300 kids all together over the past couple of years. We were a very crowded school at one time.
I am just curious about the size of a typical 5A team.
Coach- That is about typical for us. Start near 50 and end near 35. Used to have a lot more come out, but practices have given way to "working" and "weights" and "grades". Wrestling isn't easy; otherwise it would be called Basketball, right?
