Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School 3a 285 lb Beloit wrestler

I got a call when I got home today saying the wrestler from Beloit is by rule not able to wrestle. Something about not having enough time on the team. And said the Beloit Ad and coach got the papers to gather that they needed for the state. Any how this gentleman said he has evidence and has people at Beloit high that will say he in fact joined the team after February . My son Jaden got third and we are very happy. But if by chance they did not follow the rules, and my son missed a chance to go for the state title it does upset me. Play , play to win, but play by the rules..... For the gentleman who called call me back. Thanks for listening to me Kansas. Eric helms. 620 517 0951 didn't finish sorry the Beloit wrestler is a good wrestler in fact beat us twice , if by chance Beloit did not follow the rules then they should be held accountable for their actions. And not the young man. He did what he was asked to do and that is to win. Good job young man. And for the gentleman who called why call me were you in fact trying to get back at someone , did your son get beat out. Are you from another team who would benefit from Beloit losing their heavyweights points would that move u up in team score. I'm not sure, please investigate , please don't involve me Jaden took third, we r happy and next year plan on standing at the top. My wife and I are just your avg. poor Kansas family who look toward seeing our seven boys wrestle that's our entertainment. Not trying to rain on someone else parade. Sorry to the young man from Beloit if anything comes of this. Good job at state.

That the Beloit 285 wrestler did not join the team until shortly before the regional tournament has already been established and never in dispute.

Early last week (after the regional tournaments were concluded) he was declared ineligible by the KSHSAA. He was then reinstated by the KSHSAA after an appeal was filed by the Beloit A.D.

Sounds like some folks in Beloit who know the story do not know the "rest of the story."

Congrats to Bryce Black. He had an amazing tournament. I had the privilege of speaking to this young man at state and he is a fine young man. My brother is a coach at Beloit and spent alot of time helping Bryce get ready for state. So to try and make a big deal out of something that is over with is a slap in the face to Bryce. If anyone was at a disadvantage, it was Bryce for not being medically cleared in time to get into better shape and perfect more skills. Once again congrats to Bryce Black on his second place medal this weekend. Also congrats to the Beloit Trojans on their 3rd place finish as a team.
