Your 6U wrestler that placed at 6U state this year does not allow you to rank you kid as a state placer or state champion at 8U. Saw this on several weights.

Sure you can. The kid is a legitimate State Champion or State Placer at 6U State. At the seeding meeting it will be explained that 6U kids will not be ranked over 8U kids if they have only been in the 6U division all year. But, They definitely can put them down as State Champion. The wonderful thing about State Championships, they can never be taken away. Once a State Champion always a State Champion.

I personally do not have a vested interest in the matter, but If the 6U state championship is a legitimate State Championship then they should not be able to wrestle 8U. They will not allow any other age division to do so.

What if the kid only wrestled one tournament at 8U. The kid is seeded better than my son in the subs bracket, when my son pinned him twice in the only tournament the kid wrestled at 8U.

I don't have a dog in this fight either, but. 4,5, and 6 are still under 8 where I come from.

Sounds like your coach did a poor job in the seeding meeting. Head to head beats any other criteria.
