I was at the Salina South Tournament and watched a great match between Idris Elias and Jalen Harper. First congrats to Jalen for winning with class. It was a questionable call in which sent it to overtime and He won with a takedown. Refs will be Refs unfortunately. The coach Kenny Taylor got ejected it was so questionable of a call. This is where I really want to commend Idris Elias. He lost his first High school match to my knowledge and WAS THE ABSOLUTE CLASSIEST YOUNG MAN I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. A lot of kids would of went crazy and you congratulated your opponent instead of blaming anyone. Congrats to your parents for raising such an outstanding young man!
Beeson no kidding next time you see him you should shake his hand! He is truly the example of a Champion.

I know Idris and his parents very well. I have always been impressed with this young man and his actions on and off of the match. You are right, his actions say a lot about how he was raised.

With that said, had the questionable call went the other way, I truly believe Jalen would have reacted the same way. I know his parents from years of wrestling and baseball. They are class acts on and off the mat as well.

This sounds like it was a great match between two great young men that have great parents. Congratulations to both young men and parents for being examples of true champions.
