So the dashboard quit showing the match after period 1. Now it shows Austin beat Ball 8-2? True?

Two takedowns, 3 NF, 1 escape for Austin. Two escapes for Ball. Ball chose top second period. Austin chose neutral in third.

I haven't seen Austin wrestle, but if he can control the match against Ball like that, I have no doubt he must be the real deal.

Very fun wrestler to watch. Has a unique style, pretty exciting with lots of action. Got to give Porsch props for bumping up to wrestle some fellow studs. 138 is scary this year.

Huge props to Porsche! Some great matches by 3 stud wrestlers! They all deserved the standing ovation they got! .

Certainly closer than the final score indicated...interesting that Ball chose top in the 2nd period, a poor choice (and not just in hindsight). Austin is for real. Can't wait to see these 2 lock horns again. I just hope it's in the state finals and not the semis.

If you get a chance to watch Austin please do. He is amazing to watch. I have had the privilege to watch him at two tournaments. I also visited with him off the mat very respectful down to earth young man. To watch him with his grandparents will warm your heart. Glad to send there are still young men like this around.

I'm guessing Ball went top to see what Austin would do on the mat since he is hardly ever on bottom. Also, Ball is relentless on top, and very skilled at turning people and riding. Just a thought, but i don't know. I'm interested to see how it plays out next time and what the choices are. And if what jule said up there is true, then you have two phenomenal and worthy kids, because I know Brandon is one of the most humble and gracious individuals I've ever met. Just two great wrestlers! Can't wait to see them again!
