The Hays Wrestling Club will be hosting the annual Western Kansas Classic again this year.

We will limit our entries to 1,200 wrestlers.

We will bracket accordingly to the wrestlers ranking (A,B,C,D). If the number of entries in a particular age and weight are large enough we will have multiple brackets. Example we may have an A, B bracket and a C,D bracket.

If a highschool wrestler is planning on competing in the Sonic Sunflower Throwdown on Sunday March 8th and you are competing in the Western Kansas Classic on Saturday March 7th you will be able to weigh in for the throwdown tournament in Hays during the Western Kansas Classic. We will release details on times as we get closer to the tournament.

Once again this tournament will be wrestled at Gross Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Fort Hays State University. We will be using track wrestling, and live scoring again this year. Your club directors should have received our flyer via email. If you have not received the flyer please let us know ASAP and we will get one sent to you via email.

We do not have any in the Wichita area, but are open to one if someone wants to run one. We have another thread on here under Western Kansas Classic Weigh in sites. With the complete list.

We have had a few high school wrestlers, as well as some other wrestlers contact us about still getting into our tournament, as they did not have their mind made up yet at the deadline. Due to this we have extended our deadline a few hours. Deadline is 5:00PM tonight (03-04-2015)

ARE YOU GIVING .9 AT THIS TOURNAMENT IT LOOKS LIKE IT ON TRACK JUST CHECKING TO MAKE SURE.

Due to many satellite weigh in locations and scales all being a little different. We will by allowing .9 this year.

Example if your son or daughter is wrestling 43lbs he/she can weigh up to 43.9.

We still have a few late enteries coming in, so we are making sure we have everyone set before releasing any list of wrestlers..

Due to multiple requests over the past couple years we have decided to sale breakfast again this year at our tournament Saturday morning. They will be serving from 7:00AM - 8:30AM or until the food is gone. There will be biscuits and gravy, homemade cinnamon rolls, orange juice and water.
