i usually just read, but yesterday i heard something that made my hair curl, and i want to vent. inbetween my sons matches yesterday i was watching the heavyweights, and the families were doing a lot of encouraging, guess that is what really called my attention to watch, i commend these boys for going out for a sport. i know of several that do nothing for themselves but sit on a couch, munch chips, and watch tv and play games
next to me was a young wrestler and his dad (in a grey lawerence tee shirt) the young man called his dads attention to the match and their familes
his dad replied i am not going to watch those
___s. i was dumb founded, and hope that he changes his mind about that, he was very RUDE, and i hope that he gains 50 pounds real soon.

Thank you wrfan!! As a parent of a "heavyweight" wrestler, I glad to see someone besides the parent of one stand up for our kids. I have seen many postings on here and on the high school forum that puts down the upper weight brackets, but I can assure you that if people would give it a second look, it is just as exciting as the lighter weights. They may not move as quick, but I think most would be surprised at just how fast some of these big boys can move.
