The practices will be intense and advanced training sessions held once per week for serious wrestlers. Each training session will focus on a maximum of three winning techniques, lots of live sparring, and always conclude with intense drills and conditioning. These sessions are designed to develop winning fundamentals and mental toughness needed for becoming a wrestling champion.

This program is intended for advanced and serious wrestlers who are seeking or need a high quality technique and training workout each week throughout the season.

COACHING STAFF

Eric Akin - Team USA, Real Pro Wrestling, 4X NCAA All American, ...

Randy Smith - Oak Park High School Assistant coach, Team Competitors coach

Tom Peterman - Kansas National Team Coach, Topeka Hayden Assistan coach

Neil Erisman - Local wrestling stand out, recently committed to Oklahoma State Cowboys, Cadet National champion, Jr National All - American - will be volunteering his services and wrestling prowess.

ENROLLMENT - ANNUAL or MONTHLY
USA Wrestling Card $30 - We will assign you to whatever club you wish to wrestle for or you can remain affiliated with Matside Academy as it will be a Kansas registered USA club.

Facility & Admin Fee $50 - This pays for mat cleaning, heating propane, facilities upkeep, and other misc. utils, supplies, and costs.

Wrestling - Minimimum enrollment of one month!
One Month $60 per wrestler or $50 per wrestler if more than one family member.

Annual - $300 for entire season.

Pallet Donations - I recently purchased $2500 worth of plastic pallets which will be delivered the week of October 3rd. We will place these under the mats and two full size mats will be left out the entire season. They will be taped and ventilated. This will provide for a softer, cleaner, and more safe wrestling surface. Any cash donations to this cause will be graciously accepted!

SCHEDULE
EVERY Sunday (except Christmas) from Sept 18 to the end of March. SEPTEMBER PRACTICES will be NO CHARGE!

September 18 - Eric Akin
September 25 - Randy Smith
October 2 - Tom Peterman
October 9 - Neil Erisman
October 16 - Randy Smith
October 23 - Tom Peterman
October 30 - Eric Akin

*** WE MUST HAVE 15 Wrestlers enrolled to make this work. These coaches are excellent teachers and their time is very valuable. Last year we had over 80 kids participate throughout the year and nearly 80% of them placed at the state level. We will be able to accomodate up to 30 wrestlers every Sunday night.

*** SPECIAL OFFER Eric will be running a session on Wed evenings in Gardner,KS. If you enroll and are paid in full at the Cokeley Barn, these sessions are available to you at no extra cost in October. This offer may be extended or modified based on space availability.

I apoligize to those of you whom this does not concern.

Eric Akin will not be instructing Sunday September 18th, and there will be no practice at Cokeley's gym.

September 25th is Matside Academy "kickoff" night. It is free for all USAW card members, and cards will be sold there for $30 (2004-2005 cards expired August 31st).

This will be Matside's official sign-up night and parents/coaches meeting. All coaches will be present to meet parents and teach wrestlers on Sunday the 25th. All members who sign-up will receive a Program hand-book and schedule that night as well.

Parents and wresters unable to attend the "kick off" sign up night can download the required forms and program hand-book online at ericakin.com.

Thank you for your time.

Eric Akin
