I want to take a moment to brag on Marty Verhaeghe! Our program has been blessed by having the opportunity to work with him every day! He would not brag on himself so I will do it for him! College coaches if you are reading this he wants to wrestle in college! Here is what you would be getting!!

He was pinned only one time in his career as a freshmen
Has not been majored or tech falled in two years
First Guy to every practice last guy to leave


**Only missed two meets in his career. Happened this year and could of wrestled in both meets, but I would not let him wrestle with a broken bone in his hand.

Not very often do great people like this bless your life. He made his teammates, the coaches, and the program better. We are forever grateful to the imprint he has left on us all!

I will echo everything Coach Parks has said here. I've been an assistant at BVSW for the past 3 years and have had the absolute pleasure to work with Marty during that time period. Prior to BVSW at I had been an assistant in other programs and have had the opportunity to work with some great kids and multiple time state champs. Even though Marty didn't quite achieve a state title, he probably has the best work ethic I've ever been around. He IS the entire package and humble to the end on top of that. Impeccable worker, loyal and encouraging teammate, and coachable to the end. He lives his life the same way. He belongs in a wrestling room somewhere next year and whatever coach on whatever level takes him on, your room WILL benefit.

I know Marty's family and that makes it is very easy to understand why these two coaches are saying these great things about Marty. I have to believe these coaches are correct that Marty would be great in a college wrestling room and will continue to improve in college. Congratulations to Marty on a great high school career and good luck to him in both his college academic and wrestling career.
