Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle MAIZE Tournament AGE Splits

Please note the age splits for the Maize tournament this Saturday 2/28/04.

6,8,14 year olds ==> MORNING
10,12 year olds ==> AFTERNOON

This is different than last year. In addition our original flier posted on the events calendar reflected last years splits. This was recognized and replaced the same day. The flier's that we mailed out are correct as well as the event calendar on the web. We had one club that had printed the incorrect one. Please insure your club has communicated the correct splits. We apoligize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday.
950 wrestlers from 78 clubs will be present!

I am sure there is a good reason for this, but I was just curious why you have 12 & unders in the afternoon session? Was it that way last year? We were considering going to your tournament this year so we could attend the High School State Saturday afternoon and evening. There are a lot of 7th & 6th graders in 12 & under who would probably have more interest in attending the High School State than the younger wrestlers. Just a thought I know you can't base your tournament planning on that.
