Dual State projection 6A

A Kansas State Dual tournament could look like this:


Week 1 of January 8 Double Duals across the state.
Each team wrestles twice - winner advances to quarter finals.

Week 3 of January Quarterfinals - Teams negotiate who
will host. Winner moves to State Semi Finals.

Week 2 of Feb ( same weekend as league tournaments)
Location TBD
Double Dual SEMIS/ 3rd- 4th STATE Finals


The regional assignments are listed alphabetical that is how they are listed in this bracket

Based on this bracket, I would project that Finals would be

Manhattan VS Olathe North

That would be a good dual to watch!

Guess we will never know who would end up in the finals but I'll take GCHS without hesitation!

Don't count out the fightin' Top Hats! Washburn Rural is 13-2 in duals with dual wins over ON and MHS. Losses to Cameron, MO (34-34 tiebreak loss) and to BVSW (a lot to a little, but hey, they're 5A, so they wouldn't be there).

Lawrence Free State is also a very good dual team....very strong 106 on up. No weak links.

Hey Damon - I have Top Hats in the Semi's - Did not know you have already beat ON and MHS.

The thing is - a state dual tournament would not be hard to do - Most every team wrestles Duals - (not SJA) Just a little planning and it would work with in what is already happening.
