Can someone list the district and subdistrict assignments? USAWKS lists them but it shows Halstead, Hesston, Hutchinson, Newton and a couple of others in District 2 but also lists them under District 3 West for subdistricts. Likewise it shows Beloit, Con-kids, Ellsworth, Osborne, Ottawa and a few more in District 4 as well as D3 West...

You will find the information you are looking for on the tournament trackwretling sites. When you get to the site click on "Teams" and it will have a list of the sanctioned teams assigned to each qualifier.

Not sure why it even matters as they can enter any Subdistrict they chose!

BigPin22 is correct to a point. You must be registered thru a USAWKS sanctioned club in the district you are competing in. If you live in Shawnee County and you wrestles with a club in Jefferson or Douglas county you are crossing a district boundary. If you live in Chase county and you wrestle with a club in Butler or Sedgwick your are crossing a district boundary. This is allowed according to current rules/bylaws and I don't know how you would ever police policy that did not allow it. However, an individual can not just sign up to wrestle in another district without "first" being affiliated with a club in that district.

Thanks for the clarification Mark.

Let me pose another question to further clarify: So, as long and a club in District 4 agrees to register a wrestler from District 1 under their clubs name for the State qualifying tournament the can participate in District 4 even if they've never stepped foot in District 4 all season long???????

I really don't have a problem with that, but what is the point of having district alignments if that's the case?????????

I do not know the exact rules on this, but I am guessing it goes by which club your USA card is under. I am sure there are some other circumstances such as moving in mid season etc... I would also hope most club leaders would watch this and do their own policing. We have had similar incidents in the past when wrestlers lived in Russell county (who at the time was dist. 3) and they wrestled with us here in Hays (who were dist. 4) The main thing is they practiced with us all year and traveled to the tournaments with our club so therefore they wrestled with dist 4 all year.
