I do not want to body shame anyone - as the mirror does not lie regarding my own fabulous shape!

But it appears that the majority of the officials in 5a/6a have "Wintered Well"

I admit that I thought about officiating again several years ago. I even attended a clinic at St James. But I was reminded by my daughter "Vertical Stripes are not flattering on you" and her belief that I could still"get down on the mat, but not so sure about getting back up"

The truth hurts!

I am not saying you cant be a good wrestling official and be plus size. It was just time for me to do something different!

So I am a National Official for the sport of Boccia - A paralympic sport for the most physically disabled. Check out this Boccia Video from Nationals in KC, MO last year!

I have always joked that Refs need to make the 285 weight class or not ref...there is a physical ability that simply cannot work when you are 350 and have that many matches over 2 days. I joke but there is a lot of truth to it...

I truly feel my son lost a tough match early in the season because the ref couldn't bend over...
