Beginning this week, all of our wrestling sessions for the coming months will be focused on getting to the legs, finishing, and defense. We are done with freestyle in the program, and I always move toward this area of the sport this time of year. If you feel your wrestler may need to make improvements on his feet, this time of the years is a good time to be involved. As I tell the kids in my practices..they get into the same exact positions as youth wrestlers as the college wrestlers do. It's the same sport, same positions (both good and bad), and learning a scoring routine from these common areas is what will in time lead them to success.
My full schedule of the weekly sessions in on
www.tonypurler.com, and everyone is welcome to try out a couple sessions to see how they are ran, and if they feel that our teaching methods and attention to positional detail will in fact help their wrestler make huge, beneficial, technical gains this off season. Wrestling is a marathon, not a sprint, and this time of year is my favorite time for running my program, which was established in 2003, so I've been at it a long time. thanks and call with any questions.
If you'd like to try out some sessions, please look at the schedule on
