Way to go Ned! Congratulations on your appointment, or was it by default? Atchison will have a solid program with Ned behind the wheel. Good Luck buddy!

This seems like a great way to promote and introduce wrestling to young kids. I know at our elementary school that they do a similar thing with band every year. The kids new to band get very excited when they see and hear the instruments that they can learn to play. It attracts a lot of them to sign up. Now they don't all stay but some who would not have thought of it do end up staying in the band classes into high school. My son was first drawn into wrestling eight years ago by a flyer for a club team in the first grade. He was the only boy in his class that responded to it. I bet if they had put on a live demonstration like Ned did and like the band teacher does that there would have been more kids from my son's class who would have given wrestling a try. I know there were at least three who could have been good wrestlers. Great idea, Ned. I bet you have very good success with it. Coach Travius Stokes had an interesting way of introducing kids and families to wrestling. I believe he had preseason chili dinner and gave a presentation about wrestling at the dinner.
