Folks,
We are having our Freestyle and Greco Camp again this summer! Why well when you bring back “15 All-Americans†in one summer the decision was easy. This program over the last two summers have propelled not only our program to a team state championship but those in the local area that have attended as well. Anyone that has been to my camps will tell you first hand the effects, progress, and aid in the development of their wrestler. You want to be the best then I recommend you come train with the best. This program is specifically is built for K-8 wrestlers, with a building block approach, and feedback given to the parents weekly on the progress of their wrestler to create a collaborative dialogue between the wrestler, staff, and parents all working together towards one goal. And that is to get better.
Yet don’t let the title fool you as the first three of the four weeks are very applicable to folkstyle wrestling as well. Listed below are the points of emphasis each week.
- Week One: Stance, Motion, Positioning, Leg Attacks, and Finishes
- Week Two: Throws and Ducks
- Week Three: Russian Tie-ups
- Week Four: Top Positioning: “Turn to Winâ€
We have made efforts to consolidate the day a little better
