Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Abilene officiating

I wanted to thank 4 veteran guys who officiated a long 3 Mat tournament at Abilene. The only real break ended at 12:20pm and the final match wrapped up close to 9pm. These guys stuck it out for about 90 full high school matches a-piece, several being All-class match ups! Much appreciated!

They did a good job and that one ref had to have blisters on his hand by the end of the day!! Lol. Good tourney. Any news on the sante fe trail kid with the apparent dislocated knee cap? Praying all is well with him!

They did a great job, without much rest. Great tournament in general. Great matchups, solid wrestling and everyone was exhausted at the end, but it was the last tournament of the 1st half of the season, so we can all get rest and forget about how tired we were until next year. As the day wore on, I was getting pretty grumpy, so I can't imagine how the officials were doing at that point. At least we got breaks all day between our wrestlers' bouts. Abilene has made this a great tournament for matchups and they constantly work to do what we want as a group of teams. Kudos to the officials, Coach Stout, Will Burton, Brandi McGivney and all the support crew who worked their tails off all week and all day Saturday. Congratulations to Marysville for winning a good tough tournament! Should be a great year for them!
