3. I am on another form elsewhere a topic has arisen to warrant the question

What would it take (minimally in necessity) to have Joe schmo qualify and compete at world's?
Costs of entry(ies)? What tournaments would need to be entered to qualify for it?

In order to qualify for the World Team Trials, you must be the highest placed USA athlete in a weight class and winning a medal who hasn’t yet qualified for a spot in the following tournaments. Dave Schultz Memorial International or the Bill Farrell Memorial International. You can also qualify if you’re the current year’s NCAA I champion or on last years World Team. Top 7 placers at the Senior U.S. Open Championships can receive an automatic spot into the trials or a wrestle-off in Final X. I’m not sure the cost per tournament. I believe if you earn a spot in the trials or in Final X there is no cost for those, but I could be wrong. Been a long time since I was involved at this level and Final X was not around at that time either.
