DERBY NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS SUNDAY FEBRUARY 10, 2019

It is that time of year again!! The Derby Novice Championship is just around the corner. The flier is on trackwrestling.com under THE NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS and is open for registration--You must PRE-PAY online. We will not accept checks.

**** THIS TOURNAMENT IS FOR TRUE FIRST YEAR WRESTLERS ONLY AND KANSAS WRESTLERS ONLY****

No previous wrestling experience prior to November this season, meaning that the 2018-19 season must be your 1st year as a wrestler and 1st year with a card. Prior experience includes practicing last year or any other year without competing.

Violators will be removed from the tournament!! Parents and coaches you are responsible for this, please do the right thing! I am considering posting names and clubs that violate this guideline, especially the repeat offenders! Please do not put us in a position to remove a kid from the tournament.


WE PLAN TO RELEASE ENTRIES SATURDAY FEB 9. WHICH MEANS NO LATE ENTRIES!! THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO LOOK THROUGH NAMES AND NOTIFY US OF ANY POTENTIAL VIOLATORS.

Home site weigh-ins Friday evening February 8th or Saturday February 9th by noon: NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE, YOU MUST MAKE SCRATCH WEIGHT AND YOU MUST WEIGH-IN!!

ONLY the following information must be sent in to steven.foster31@yahoo.com by noon Saturday, Feb 9, 2019. weight changes, HWT exact weight, and scratches. Otherwise we will assume you made weight.

Are you still planning on releasing brackets early?

so if you are doing weigh ins you just need to make sure everyone makes weight and thats it? we do not enter any weights or send off the weights to anyone?

We will be releasing brackets early evening. There will be NO CHANGES once they are released!!! Only scratches. If you find a wrestler in question of being a first year kid contact me immediately and we will check it out. Make sure to provide your reasons for the challenge.

The only information that we need is at this point is scratches. If your wrestler did not make weight we need to bump them before brackets get released.

Coaches and parents double check your rosters to make sure your kids meet the first yr criteria. Violaters will be removed on the spot. It’s not the kids fault but they pay the price! Happens every year.
