Blue Valley High School hosts a 2 day- mens wrestling tournament at the end of Dec. Next season it is Dec 17/18. We are opening this tournament up to teams outside of Johnson County for the first time. We are looking to add 5 teams to bring us to 24 teams. This is a great opportunity for teams to come see many of the top 5A and 6A teams in the state. If you want to look at prior results you can check out the 2019 results in Track.
The tournament format is:
Day 1- 4 Pools of 6 wrestlers- each wrestler gets 5 matches in the pool.
Day 2- Bracket Wrestling:
Top 2 from each pool go to an 8 man championship bracket- wrestling out to 8th place.
Those not in the top 2 go into 4 man consolation brackets to get an additional 2 matches. These are scored matches wrestling out to 24th place.
