How can our board of directors cut out the membership directors position the day before all of our memberships have to be renewed?
It is August 31st......charters have to be renewed tomorrow. Insurance has to be updated tomorrow. Kids cards have to be renewed tomorrow. No communication from the board of directors on how to accomplish all of this.
Background checks are now $30 each (Free last year), Wrestling Leadership cards were $45 per year now they are $50.
Here is the deal.....if we are going to make this move to use the membership site.......which is ok......could we at minimum send out the new process to the club directors prior to the day everything has to be renewed?
There are clubs currently training and our membership status and insurance status is gone tomorrow 9/1/2021.

We’ve always voted on this in the past, how can they just change it without a vote? Or at least some communication within the state.

We did vote on this two years ago,. I was the only one in the room that voted yes to online membership. The motion failed. I am assuming(guessing) that usa wrestling forced our hand!.. Communication could have been better yes, but this needed to happen, applying for USA wrestling cards through the spreadsheet system was archaic and cumbersome. And yes I know the state made $$$$ the old way!. Moving on!

Looking at the age classification on USAW registration site it does not appear to follow a criteria that i can figure out. Birthday of 11/20/2007 is listing as 16 and under. where is the age criteria that the site follows? Scott Thornhill Marion Jr Wrestling Club

I noticed the same (incorrect age classifications). I'm assuming it won't hinder tournament registration, but I could be wrong.

I did get an update. Kansas rules and age groups will still apply. National age groups are posed on the membership page.

I can envision this being a problem for club directors and especially tournament directors.
