5x Fargo AA and 2X State finalist, Christian Forbes from Broken Arrow, OK is the one to beat. He is ranked #3 by Flo! Carter Pearson from Southeast Polk, IA is a freshman phenom. A 5x AAU state champion and 2021 pre-season national champ, Pearson will take aim at the senior from Oklahoma. Our own Tobius Kriner and multiple kids state champion Vinny Tindal from Allen, TX are not to be overlooked.

Levi Glover from Goddard will be the primary defender of our state pride against two tough Broken Arrow, OK wrestlers, Ethan Rodriguez and Izaiah Furra. Sophomore, Kasen Smith will try to crack that top 3.

Four returning state placers are led by 2021 undefeated Texas state champion, Joseph Liescheski from Allen, TX. Our own state placers, Goddard's Jayden Miller, Mill Valley's Dillon Cooper and Manhattan's Jantzen Borge will battle to go toe to toe with the Texan. Other notables are 33 match winner Kaleb Collins from Broken Arrow, Ok, Iowa Kids state finalist Mason Hedrick, Gaige Stock of OK and Mio Cregan from St. James.

Here's where murderers row starts. SE Polk, IA's Nathan Jesuroga has the target on his back with his undefeated Iowa state title and a Cadet World Bronze Medal. Tonganoxie's Braeden Moore, who is well know for welcoming a challenge, joins Broken Arrow's Parker Witcraft, KS finalist Cael Alderman, Allen TX's highly ranked Caden Brown and Maddox Cassella from MV as contenders for the podium. Other notables are Kaden Allen of STA and Frio Vontress from DC.

Folkstyle National finalist and undefeated KS state champion Damian Mendez of Dodge City heads this bracket that includes Salina, OK state champion Hunter Fitzpatrick, KS finalist Eddie Hughart (MV), KY Medalist Jayden Frazier, TX medalist Caden Garcia (Allen, TX) and Reno World medalist Mitchell Borynack (Edmond, OK). This bracket has even more depth with SE Polk IA's Cooper Hanson and our own Noah Bailey of Tonganoxie.

Another meat grinder weight with EIGHT state placers! Grayson Sonntag of Tonganoxie, begins his encore season after his finalist finish at Folkstyle Nationals and a stellar effort at National Duals. Undefeated Texas State champion Kade Moore from Allen and 3x KS state placer and 2X finalist Easton Taylor (MH) are the 2 and 3 seeds. Padukah, KY brings state finalist Eli Peyton along with Jacob Vasquez - 3rd (ON), Matt Garcia 4th (OK), Angel Miranda 6th(SJA), Rudy Hernandez (DC), Alonzo Borjas 2020 medalist (GE) and Goddard's Phoenix Rothenberger.

THREE State Champions clash! Joel Jesuroga (SE Polk), Gavin Montgomery (Salina, OK) and Zach Wessley from Goddard. When the 4 seed is a 2x finalist and age-level USAW World Team Trials finalist, Jordan Cullors from OK, you cannot miss this bracket. KS state placers Ismael Ramirez (DC) and Blaisen Bammes (MH) round out the state medalists here. Other notables are Michael Conner from Kentucky, Therron Meade (GE) and Austin Nekvapil (Allen, TX)

In one of the most anticipated possible finals matches, 2x Texas State Champion and pre-season National runner-up Mario Danzi (Allen, TX) may land himself in a battle with one of our state's best in multiple KS State Champion Jerrdon Fisher from Goddard. State placers, SE Polk's Carter Martinson, Alec Samuelson (ON) and STA's Jordan Habben will be fighting to break up that party.

Fargo AA and KS finalist Dylan Elmore is coming off of a stunning 16-1 performance at the Junior National Duals in June. He is now on everybody's radar. 2X placer Carson Martinson (SE Polk) and KS Finalist Landon Wilkes are the biggest threats to him. Other notables are Jakob Nakamura (Allen, TX), returning state placer Keeghan Troutman (GE) and Broken Arrow's Garrett Stinchcomb.

After winning the KS state title as a freshman, Luke Barker (DC) continued his tear through Kansas last year with wins over Nathan Bowen, Cason Lindsey, Jace Fisher and Derek Johnson. He's the 1 seed in this bracket. Oklahoma state finalist Jack Wilkins is the primary challenger here, along with Edmond Memorial's Ben Mower and SE Polk's Mike Slade. Not to be overlooked is Tim Welch from Broken Arrow, Ok who moved in from California last year.

After moving from Illinois to Oklahoma in 2020, AJ Heeg has been a human wrecking ball. He won the Oklahoma state title, beating Angelo Ferrari in the ultimate OT final. Allen TX's Ryan Nichols, a Texas state finalist, and our own Gabe Bailey, state finalist, are the top contenders. Other notables are Spencer Redwine from Kentucky and UWW GR AA Luke Hancock from STA.

Goddard's Kaden Glass looks to finish his high school career strong. A NHSCA AA and KS state finalist, Kaden battled injuries last year before returning to make his state finals appearance. There are four state medalists in this bracket that have an eye on the podium. Edmond's Eli Cordy (3rd), UWW Greco AA Sean Carroll (STA), SE Polk's Andrew Reed and Roman Loya of Dodge City.

PJ Cunningham was that rare upper weight freshman last year that carved out a 29-4 record, then made a splash on the national scene by earning AA status at USAW Folkstyle Nationals. He will be challenged by state medalist Santonio Turner (DC), Elijah Hynes of Broken Arrow and Mohamed Elgouhari of Allen, TX.

No state medalists here but it looks like 5 guys have a shot at the title. Jay Jensen (GE), Drake Madole (Allen, TX), Jacob Brammer (Broken Arrow) and Cooper Martinson from SE Polk, Iowa. Who wants it more???
