The Eureka Wrestling Club is hosting a benefit wrestling tournament Sunday, January 16. This tournament will benefit the family of Zack Hilton who is currently undergoing cancer treatments. Two of the Hilton's four children are currently members of our high school wrestling team. In addition to a great day of wrestling, we will also have a silent auction and a great concession stand with meal options including smoked pulled pork! Entry Fee: $20.00 per wrestler (non-refundable).
Entry Deadline: Monday, January 10, 2022 (11:59 p.m.)
Weigh-in: Saturday at home site. Weigh-in must occur between 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Actual weights must be entered into TrackWrestling by 3:00 p.m. No Sunday weigh-ins.
RULES:
This is a USAW sanctioned tournament. USA cards are required.
Kansas High School rules with Kansas Kids modifications.
Age as of September 1, 2021.
All wrestlers must make weight in competition singlet.
Please rate all wrestlers in accordance to TrackWrestling rating system.
Wrestler may only compete in one age group and one weight class.
We will have girls brackets if we have enough entries.
Coaches Meeting: 8:30 a.m. Wrestling begins: 9:00 a.m.
BRACKETING
WE WILL USE MADISON BRACKETING AND BRACKET BY WEIGHT AND ABILITY.
WE WILL COMBINE WEIGHTS, WITHIN REASON, TO ENSURE AS MANY MATCHES AS POSSIBLE.
WE WILL ALSO BRACKET BY ABILITY WHERE POSSIBLE. YOU WILL ENTER AGE AND SEPARATION CRITERIA WHEN ENTERING AND ACTUAL WEIGH AT WEIGH IN.
ALL SPECTATORS AND CONTESTANTS ARE REQUIRED TO OBSERVE AND OBEY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE EUREKA JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL AND ALL POSTED SIGNS.
NO TOBACCO USE ON THE PREMISES.
A CONCESSION STAND WITH MEAL DEALS WILL BE AVAILABLE ALL DAY.

Zach Hilton was recently diagnosed with cancer. He and his wife, Dawn live outside of Eureka with two of their four children. Zachary is a junior and Brenn is a sophomore at Eureka Junior Senior High School. Both are members of the Eureka High School wrestling team. Zach has begun immunotherapy, a six-hour daily treatment he will undergo for 12-weeks. He will then undergo additional scans and treatment, if necessary. This fundraiser is to assist the family with medical/travel and every-day expenses they accrue while Zach undergoes treatment and is unable to work.
