I saw a fan get thrown out of Basehor-Linwood this weekend for his incessant yelling and heckling of one of the refs. He actually had to be escorted out by a police officer, and the fans from his team applauded as he was leaving the arena.

What are some of the funnier/dumber stories that you have heard about fans making a ruckus?

Anyone remember Kevin Ecker(SME) at 145lbs his senior yr. No problems with him, but his mom i have some BEEF with. SMS happens to be at a lot of tournaments that SME is at and naturally u get used to the fans accompanied by both schools. Well Kevin had one particular fan that was just ear splitting. It was his mom! Whenever he would wrestle, she would scream "Eckeeeeeeeeer" in this just ate glass/ frog in ur throat tone. It was flat out insane the decibels the lady could produce from her throat. I thought my head was going to explode during the state semi's when she was cheering for her son. But all in all, she seemed to be a nice lady that needed a plunger stuck in her mouth. Im sure Sondy and Robinson back me up on this one.

Don't remember the name and don't want to speculate, but go back about 10-15 years to the state tournament and a kid from Clearwater and Dad get escorted out of the Coliseum after kid takes a punch at a kid he just lost to. Clearwater still wins the state title even though all points earned up to that point were taken away.

we all know how bad ecker's mother was while her son was wrestling, but who can forget the screaming match between ecker's mom and karl kamerererer (SMW) mom while the two 145 lbs battled eachother at leage and regionals.

What team was the fan from that got tossed out at Basehor? My best fan story was from 95 regionals in Russel with Clint Freeman's dad in his overralls yelling at the top of his lungs and coaching against Ellsworth was Concordia's Coach Moore who fired back with a SHUT UP pretty loudly, it was pretty amusing but kinda intimidating to be in the middle of sitting in between the mats and the Ellsworth contingent.

justin welborn's mom in 98 i believe came out on the mat and started hitting Zach Roberson during a match he had, because he was 'hurting' her boy.

Taylor Bauer's mom can break some windows. And on a side note, I don't know how many schools do this (because I go to a sophistocated 6A Johnson County school) but Rose Hill and all their fans did this gay synchronized clapping thing whenever someone they were wrestling was near their back.

And given the fact that most any time a Rose Hill guy was wrestling someone was on their back, it got old. Quick.

At freestyle/greco state last yr i witnessed something worthy of mentioning. I was watching one of those itty bitty little kids freestyle matches. There was this lanky white kid wrestling this pretty ripped like i swear black 8 yr old (it was unreal how built this little guy was). I think the black kid was from the team of hard knox. Well the hard knox kid was losing and was just getting out techniqued by the lanky white guy. And these hard knox coaches were screaming the crap out of this little black guy. I felt so bad considering he was like at most 8 yrs old. They were treating it like the freaking olympics. The little black kid burst into tears, but finished the match with some hard fought grit and determination.

Yea, Welborns Mom was pretty bad if I can remember right. I believe she went nuts on Brian Scott (97) when Scott beat Welborn at the SEK tourney in Chanute. Called him all kinds of names. hahahaha!

"This little black kid?" Was there no other way to phrase that response?

Prant-Didn't the dad of Heerman's vanquished foe at state yell at him? I can't remember who that 'tard was.

Okay, so I don't really get that post, but whatever.

And yes, Dingbat, you are correct. The father of Greg Macy went CRAZY on Matt Heerman at the state tournament. I don't remember if it was after Macy beat him in the first round, or after he beat Macy in the consolation finals. I just remember there was a LOT of yelling, which is totally mature for an old man.

I also remember the year before, the Millstead (sp?) from Shawnee Mission Something tried to intimidate Heerman and screamed some pretty nasty things. It didn't really matter, though, because Heerman beat him by 11 or so. So bite on it, Millstead brothers.

tuffEnuff2- You seem to have a problem both staying on topic and with racial sensitivity. Save your racist humor for another venue and learn some tact.

Knowledge=Understanding=Tolerance(and sensitivity). I guess you have to have the first one to get it!!
