is russell now 3A? When I graduated in 1998 I think they still were...either way usually they get stuck in a pretty tough regional...in fact in 1995 they hosted one of the best regionals (at least souvenir wise) it had all sorts of tough teams in the mix...Russell, Abilene, Concordia(state champ that year) Colby and a few others...I like the Russell guys...I wish them the best.

We are now 3A but we might be moving up to 4A with a large freshmen class. We went to one of the toughest regionals again last year. If we move up to 4A it will be a lot tougher. But yes we are now 3A. We are hoping to host a regional or even just a regular tournament. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Why is Cornejo leaving? Why does everyone flee West?
Is it really that bad?

And what about Toast? Is he still wrestling, or did he graduate?

Campus Colts are going to be # 1 in 5A next year and that is all I have to say about that!!!!!!!!
They will have @ 112 or 119 Elliot @ 125 or 130 Baldridge Or Chrisman Either weight @ 135 or 140 Cornejo @ 145 or 152 Langhauver I think this team will be hard to beat in 5A. They are pretty stacked. Dustin Foster might come back also. There is another good kid. I also heard that Deshazer might move w/ the Cornejo's & go to Campus. If he did they would be UNSTOPABLE!!!!!!!!

It seems as though Campus is putting together quite a team. Are all those guys going there disapointed with the school that they would ordinarily go to or what? I remember when Kapaun was so good several years ago with guys from all over the area on their team-- they were quite impressive but somehow the accomplishments of those "all star teams" that are assembled seem less than at places like Ark city, Hoxie, beloit, Abeline, Norton, etc.,etc. that just take whatever local talent that is residual and build dynasties out of them. Their success seemed like more of an accomplishment.

The only new wrestler that I am aware of is Cornejo and Joe has wrestled with Haysville kid club for years. He is a big part of the reason those kids are so tuff and visa versa.Good partners
