Caney's current coach was a state champ in Missouri, and he is really good, but I don't know a lot other than that...
Wes Harding was my coach from 7th-9th grade, and I think it was on here that his record was like 100-some and 3. I don't know about Jim Moseley or Danny Daniels or Jim Freisberg (all were assistant/head coaches over the years).

Well I will post my own record, hate to let my wrestlers try to figure it out. I did not start wrestling till I was a soph, I played that other sport till then, and only wreslted varsity half that year. I was a staggering 35-22 at the varsity level at Pratt High School. As a senior I was 22-8 and I thought I was pretty good, then again I did go 2-2 at State at 140 pds. My biggest accomplishment was being awarded acadmeic wrestler of the year and going to Labette Comm. College then on the Ft. Hays to wrestle. But does being an awesome wrestler really mean your going to be a great coach? I was and still am a student of the sport. I took something from every coach I ever had and from every one I served under (thanks Coach Woodford). Coach Brown Sabetha High School

You have a point, Coach Brown, my senior year, niether of our two coaches wrestled their senior year.
Also, Burlington's coach had never wrestled (or so I've heard, I could be wrong) and they aren't too bad.

I know one of campus's old coaches had never wrestled but he was a good coach and had two sons that were good wrestlers. Sturm(sp) was the last name. I don't think to be a good coach you have to have been an excellent wrestler. Just like with football, How good of a coach would Michael Bishop really be? He can't coach the things that he did on the field.

118-27 1997 State Champion 1996 3rd 4X qualifier Had to do some research to get that info. for you big mike.
Couldnt even come close to figuring out my college record. Probably somewhere around 70% winning percentage.

Well at St Francis they have 2 assistant coaches . Daryl Loyd and Steve Jenkins, both of these guys had good High School careers, but they could not touch me in the wrestling room. I bet my record against these two fish is 287-1. The one is when they snuck up behind me.

I wasn't any good, but I'll post my record anyways. The high school I went to was sophomore thru senior. The freshmen were in the junior high.
I think I was 63 and 23 all three years on varsity. No real crowning achievements other than 2X Centenial (sp) champ and 2X regional champ. I can say that during my senior year, my only losses were to Quenton Hammontree who wrestled for Nebraska in college and Milton George (3X state champ). That loss hurt - dislocated shoulder and out for the tourney.
I did wrestle at Labette. Okay, I was more of a practice dummy for Mike Keim the National Champ. It sure was fun though. My goal was to bite his ear off. Mike has two national championships - one at Labette and the other at Central OK.
Oh, and he still has both of his ears too.

Gibby, Keim never won a NC at Labette, placed 3rd in 92, then AA'd at UCO twice, winning it once here. Thought your post was strange because I was pretty sure LCC only had one NC before I was there.(Edwards 79). I can imagine that was a pretty tough man to face back then though, just from the stories that fly around down here about the guys that wrestled here back in the 90's.

couldn't even tell ya. my girl here always gets on and reads this stuff.. little did she know, i decided to register and put some comments on here. we'll see how long it takes her to realize all this. she'll probably be pretty angry, considering she has a pretty bad temper (she has the tendency to throw things, and punch walls). dang, i'm just digging a deeper hole here.

Though I did not wrestle for him, the head coach of The Steve Machine, Coach Sierant was 88-15 at Rochhurst Highschool and still holds the record for most 2pt. near falls. Good Game Coach!
