The KWCA Forum is a place to chat and discuss High School wrestling. It is not a place to degraded and belittled wrestlers or wrestling fans. I will delete and topic I feel does this. I will also delete and topic or answer that has any symbols instead of letters. Sorry if you disagree with me but I think it is the correct thing to do. Thank you Bob Phillips

Big Brother is lurking.

I think the forum Terror Alert Level has just been raised to "orange."

It is always interesting to see the natural process of thinning the herd.

I think that humor can be had without making someone the butt of the joke. comedy is an art-- it doesn't have to be mean spirited or pointed at anyone. I really don't think that this is a "Big Brother" thing at all. Making someone else look stupid or weak or unreasonably strict doesn't make the antagonist look stronger, or smarter, or funnier... it just makes them look rude, inconsiderate, and mean.

Pretty witty, Prant! But you must realize there is an historical explanation of our American predilection for censorship. It goes way back to our Puritan roots. Surely you have read about our illustrious English ancestors who sought to "purify" the Church of England! Of course, though they were of high moral disposition, they also tried and burned people as witches, banned Christmas and fined people for exhibiting "Christmas spirit", and fell to fits of intolerance that drove out such progressive thinkers as Anne Hutchinson and Roger Williams (founder of Rhode Island), not to mention John Wheeler (NH) and Thomas Hooker (CT). So as you can plainly see, we come by censoship honestly. I do think having moderators on the forum is necessary. But the key here is in the title itself, "moderate". I'm just leery of investing so much power in the opinion of one person (it's an American thing). I must and will obey those who run the site as I value corresponding with my friends and others interested in wrestling and wrestlers. Still ...... "symbols"?

Symbols as in using puntuation symbols to represent letters in a curse word.

For those that think the moderators are too strict here the Capital Journal closed all of it's boards this week, without notice, because of an inability by some to follow the rules. Because of a few, who thought they were being "witty" or following some form of civil disobedience the Prepzone is now history.

Yeah they talked about closing prepzone down last year as well. The underwriters of this site were also saying they would close this site down last year because of some of the crap that went on in the form of curse words and so on.

Isn’t the aforementioned word not aproprate for this forum…

I am appalled and offended by Nigel's choice to use the word CRAP on this forum. I second the motion. Please Ban Nigel NOW!!!

I'll vote yes in banning Nigel. He's boring to read cuz he's so negative. Please moderators ban Nigel NOW!

I still don't think iFeelFat got the message that I don't work at Arby's anymore. I guess news doesn't travel fast at McDonalds where he works.

Ha, that's funny. Nigel just used the idea of someone working at a fast food restaurant as an insult....yet...he...worked at one, too.

Unless everyone in the fast food world makes fun of McDonald's for being "mainstream" or something.

Not exactly Prant, McDonalds is the butt of every fast food joke simply because it is the most well known. We'e all heard the phrase "Well you could be flippin burgers at McDonalds" In any case I just wished to clarify that I know longer work in fast food. And I certainly wasn't laboring to hard to try and insult anyone.
