This Thursday night, that's right in two days, Newman will be hosting a 3 hour wrestling clinic at Bishop Carroll High School. We apologize for the late notice, but we just found out that because of buffer week, next week is not an option. The details are on a flyer attached to this thread. Newman University Wrestling Clinic
What: Wrestling clinic designed to jumpstart your wrestling season
When: Thursday, October 4th from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.
Where: Bishop Carroll High School
For Whom: High School wrestlers
Cost: $20 for 3 hour session
Experienced coaches and wrestlers from Newman University will instruct the clinic session. All proceeds will go toward the newly created wrestling team at Newman University.
The clinic will work to jumpstart your high school wrestling season. There will be some time allotted for the mental as well as physical aspects of the sport. The instructional times will be tailored to the needs and abilities of the wrestlers attending the session.
At the close of the session, there will be t-shirts, sweatshirts, and shorts available purchase. The profits of these items will also go directly to the wrestling team. Your support to the program is greatly appreciated. What has taken place at Newman, where a wrestling team is being created instead of abandoned is quite an anomaly in college athletics today. Without the strong support thus far and the continued support of the local community the success of this program would not be possible.
