Matt Dukes got pinned. Dyer won. Carroll lost the kid from JC Harmon won. Aarron Pratt won, 103, 112, and 119 all won I think. I don't remember who else won. Kansas won with a score of 33 and Missouri had 19!!!!!

I would also like to congradulate Kansas, I was sort of doubting them. But after I saw the first match I knew how it was going to be. It was a great dual, but was very dissapointed in the kansas reff he seemed to have bad calls all night.

What a great show for Kansas. All of the wrestlers peformed well, and wrestled with the technique and desire that has made us proud of all of our wrestlers. There is one exception to point out though, and that is Matt Dukes. After being stuck, he stormed off of the mat, and threw his head gear, causing a team point to be deducted. What a shame!
You would think that a senior that is representing his school, his state, and all of the wrestlers from the area would conduct himself in a distinguished manner, even in defeat. I was embarrassed for Matt, as well as all of the fans there respresenting Kansas. Glad you are a senior Dukes, best of luck with whatever you do. Sportsmanship is a key ingredient to Kansas athletics and should be shown in defeat as well as in victory. You would think that as a senior, and as a participant in this sport for the years you have applied, you would have learned that lesson by now.
Congratulations to all of the wrestlers who particpated, it was a great exhibition of wrestling.

I am not agreeing with the way Dukes acted in his defeate at all, but wouldn't you be mad if it seemed as if you were doing all you could at one point to turn your opponent over and all he did was sprawl and stall, you would be upset and also a throw at the beginning of the match to seemed to alot of people to be illegal it was more of a free style throw. And then when Dukes took his time out after that the missouri fans started booing like carzy I know for a fact that that would make me mab. And to add on to that I heard people saying that if Dukes went out there and threw some one like that they wuld have thrown him out of the meet because it has happened before...............Like I said I don't condone what he did and most of the sport is about controlling yourself like that and not getting ma,d but you don't need to put him down like that ,mention it but act like he ruined the whole tournament.

Hey I know Matt Dukes and he is a great kid. So what if a little emotion got out at the end of the deal. This is not a match for the weak of wills, it is a very hostile environment by design and that is a part of the deal. Ever see the finals of the NCAA. Those little handshakes and hasty exits and headgear throws are about the same. The more emotion in the building the more that might happen with a hard competitor. He's 18 years old give him a break. Matt's ok and he is a hell of a wrestler.

It's fortunate that the metro-clasic is held in Wyandotte County. If it had been held in Johnson County, with the District Attorney's overzealous zero tolerance, lock em up and throw away the key philosophy, Matt would have been hauled to the juvenile center in cuffs, seriously. They do it to 10 year olds who shove a kid on the playground. Sorry to use you to make a point, Matt. Your a fine wrestler and it's a very emotional sport, especially after the classless booing by the Mo fans. If you were my son I would have lost my cool right then and there. My philosophy: let he who is faultless cast the first stone.

It was a gritty performance by Dukes, almost had the pin with the flicker. Emotions are a part of sport. Best of luck Matt you are a great kid, and a great wrestler.

I am glad eveyone sees and relizes what this sport is and knows Dukes for the kid he is off the mat and not the kid he is on the mat, Dukes is a good kid who shows great love for the sport and didn't mean to harm anyone, but you know he couldn't be happy with a loss and what good wrestler would be?

I almost hesitate to revive this topic, but I saw Matt Dukes doing everything in his power to go for the win and he happened to get caught. He easily could have been conservative and lost by a very close score to an excellent Mo wrestler. I appreciate this type of winning attitude on the mat. I would also like to congratulate the Effingham boys. Ks has had consecutive convincing victories and Effingham has contributed 5 - 0. Not to be outdone, Aaron Pratt came in as a replacement and with the team score close, came from behind with his trademark unorthodox style. Congratualtions Aaron, don't wait five and one-half minutes next time. Finally, congratulations to all the wrestlers, you gave us Ks fans our money's worth.
