Dear Sir,

I realized about five minutes ago that it has been a while since I've been here. How is your rehab coming along?

It's going pretty well. As of about a month ago I started being able to run on treadmills and two months ago I could start light lifting, not that I didn't only lift light before. I also gained back all of my flexibility so that's good, but it's still pretty sore in a lot of positions, not to mention weak. The doctor said I should be good to play sports by the end of christmas break so I'm looking forward to that. That's about it though.

How'd football go? I only got to see the Homecoming game. I heard you had a pretty nice game against Olathe East to end it all.

And you're not wrestling are you? I've heard mixed reports.

Yes Sir that is correct. I will not be able to wrestle this year. I had surgery on my left knee, and thus I will be spending most of the winter on crutches, doing rehab, and bitching about the two previous activities.

In sixth grade I was diagnosed with OsteoCondritis(sp?). Basically my bones and cartilage were not fusing together correctly. My doctor told me then that if I was having no symptoms, then I could participate in sports. Then, six years later, before our sixth game, I stepped in a divot and a piece of cartilage broke off. I could feel it and see it moving around, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal so I kept playing (I wasn't in any considerable pain, just discomfort). Long story short, that piece had to be removed from my knee arthroscopically.

Bummer man, knee injuries are no fun. Good luck with everything though, I'm sure I'll see you soon. If I see you at a meet then we can just sit there and talk about how much wrestling sucks. Ah, the good old days...
