for about the last 5-6 years, larry gabel in st. francis has held a dad's night. during the year usually the first week of february and on a wednesday, overwieght out of shape dad's get to wrestle with their sons or anyone else on the team that wants too. its a light hearted practice, so no one get hurt especially the dad's! usually after 30 seconds the dads are gassed! it might take 5 dads to wrestle one complete 6 min match! and need atleast 6 mineuts for recovery time
takedowns are always fun to watch too, especially durnig winner stays out!
i have got to participate in the latest tradition with my son, and its great fun, especially when he thinks he can take dear 'ol dad...i taught him everything he knows....but i didnt teach him everything i know! :p
its been great fun, its also video taped and the highlights shown at the wrestling banquet. its a riot!
does anyone else do this?
