That sucks for Herrera. Why was he out?
By my calculations, Manhattan should qualify 14 for state. Every wrestler they have has either qualified or is a higher seed than their next opponent...go Hat Town. Win me another state title.
(And for the record, the 171 and 215 brackets made me throw up in my own mouth.)
Anyone know why Lacer didn't wrestle?

Isn't Herrera from Emporia? I don't even see mention of him on the varsity tournament results from this year.

I just looked and there was 1 guy I spotted that entered with a 9-20 record and is state bound. Also a few weights had #1 guys down in the consolations!

herrera got injured really early in the season and wasnt elligible the first half and lacer got a dq from the tournament for biting dikin from emporia

I believe 9 - 20 is a lot worse than 0 - 6, i mean...6 matches isn't very many, but out of 29, 20 is a lot.
