Thanks for all of your work. I like your site, but I notice your tournament results, some last years and some this years. Could you note if it is this years results which are updated or last year. Thanks.

Whoa CHAPMAN!!! 259 1/2....I know it was Mission Valley but the Irish placed in 12 of 14 weights and had 2 freshmen win the championship with a fall in the finals...2nd place was Wabaunsee with 161

Good example of how much difference competition makes. I see Chapman lost to Clay Center in a dual on Thursday and Clay Center then turned around and took 7th place in a dual tournament on Saturday. Who do you think gained the most on Saturday? Clay Center or Chapman?

Wow...didn't hear about the Clay Center/Chapman dual...what was the score? I know Clay is #8 in a preview of 4A and Chapman 9th...It comes down to whom they were competing against...Chapman usually is top 2 in the Mission Valley Tournament...

Clay Center didn't do bad in my opinion...they beat Douglas 52-24, but if you take away 18 pts from clay for forfeits it would be 34-24 before the forfeits...a lot closer.

Derby handled Clay well...little upset that Clay didn't bump up Grater to get a match in this one and take a double forfeit.

Bishop Carrol made it quick by winning by fall in 7 matches, but they are a high quality team as well....

against Junction City if you took away 2 forfeits by JC it was only 33-29, it sounded kind of weird for a 6a school to have an open weight (flu bug?)

and if you take away the 3 automatic 6pts for forfeits in the 7-8th match the score would have been 30-30 with 3 matches to truly to wrestle...

Clay is good, but they had some great teams...if Salina South fielded a team...Clay would have probably fell to 8th place...ULTRA TOUGH!!!

I just realized something else...if you look at the Clay Center-Chapman Dual...Clay dominated winnning 9 of 13 contested weights...1 was forfeited meaning Chapman won by fall in the 4 matches they did wrestle...causing Chapman to have 30 and Clay's 36 in fact it was 30-32 going into heavyweight so Chapman had a chance to win which would have been like the 1st time since 1999 or 1998?...Chapman's Heavy hasn't wrestled in 3 years, and will only get better as time goes on...(might not even be the best Hwt in the Chapman room)

What are you talking about, Chapman beating Clay in 98 or 99? I was in high school then, and they haven't beat Clay since. So it had to of been before '98 that Chapman beat Clay Center.

Chapman was undefeated in duals in NCKL in 1997-1998 until they lost to Concordia and Abilene late in the year.

i think the results for the valley center tournament are screwed up.

I think clay center finished 5th with a 3-2 record beating Great bend.

The 7th/8th place match was between wichita south which ended up 2-3 and douglas which ended up 1-4.

don't know how those got screwed up.
