Everyone in western Kansas knows Eric is for real. Makes you wonder how many state championships he could've won wrestling at 321A?

Luedke is for Real, so is Drennan, Pyle and several others. Our High school Coach told me early in the day he expected Luedke to win and he wasn't even at Beloit. When great wrestlers meet, you often get different winners. Today two football teams will meet for the world championship, and both have lost a good many times during the season.

is luedke a senior? I noticed that he has been runner up at the state meet the last two years so obviously the kid is a stud. i never really heard of him until he beat drennan. is he in the same classification as drennan/pyle? or, said another way - can they meet again at state?
are pyle, drennan and johnson from norton all in the same classification and therefore will meet at state?

Luedke is a senior. Placed 3rd in 4A state as a freshman (lost to Pelz of Clearwater in the semis); 2nd as a sophomore (lost to Earl Jones of Coffeyville); and 2nd as a junior (lost to Emery McReynolds of Columbus). Colby is 4A.
Drennan of Minneapolis, Engelbert of Beloit, Pyle of Sabetha and Johnson of Norton are all 3-2-1A. Drennan, Engelbert and Johnson will be in the same regional.

Luedke is a good wrestler. The thing is he never gets out of position. When i wrestled him i couldnt get into a scramble cause he was always right where he wanted to be. That is what gets him the wins. he's not real strong, but waits for the other wrestler to make a mistake and never passes the opportunity to score. He's better than i though he was.

dwelsh -
I'm sure they will have a video tape available from 3-2-1A again this year. You'll probably need to contact Rich Epp again to get the info - I'll keep you posted.
I took on a new assignment this year as I will be providing radio coverage of the Colby Community College wrestlers as they attempt to win the national junior college tournament.
Mike Manning will be filling in for me at Hays and he will do a fine job.

cgg160 Luedke is very good!!!! I've seen him wrestle for years, but who says he would have won any state championships at 321A. It would have been just as difficult for him there as in 4A.

Hey, what was the score of the Luedke Dreenan match? I heard about who won but none of the specifics as to what happened.
