The enrollment numbers are submitted to the KSHSAA on September 20. The KSHSAA will release the classifications for all activites (football included) on the 27th. Football district assignments for the seasons of 06 & 07 are released on October 5.

These new classifications are interesting. TMP jumps to 4A in wrestling. Scott City droped to 3A in football, so maybe in a few years, they will be a 3A school in wrestling as well. That makes a tough 3A class even tougher! I wonder what regionals will be now?

Oh Boy! 5A just got interesting. Lansing remains in 5A (returning their entire team), and we will be joined by St. Thomas Aquinas (6A Champs last year) and Emporia (traditional 6A power). Throw in KC Turner, Bishop Carroll, and Ark City, and you've got quite an open race!
