Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School KWCA Fritz Knorr Fall Coaches Clinic

Be sure to get registered for the 2005 "Fritz Knorr" Fall Coaches Clinic at the Salina Holiday Inn, put on by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

This clinic is for coaches of all levels. Mailings were sent out to all high schools and USAW-KS club presidents.

Registration is from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, or on Saturday from 8-9 a.m. for those unable to make it Friday.

This year's clinicians are Cody Bickley of Fort Hays State University, Mike Hagerty of Blue Springs (Mo.) High School, and Bobby Douglas of Iowa State University and the US Olympic team. We are very excited about all three of these clinicians and what they have prepared to offer all Kansas wrestling coaches!

Also, we are working on offering recorded DVD's of this year's clinic. We are very close to having this worked out. They will be for sale for a very reasonable price. This could help save you the trouble of having to bring a camera to record for yourself.

That would be a good thing....

The KWCA will offer DVD's of the Fall Coaches Clinic in Salina for $20. Order forms will be made available at the clinic site. The video will feature the technique presentation sessions given by Coach Cody Bickley of Fort Hays State University, Coach Mike Hagerty of Blue Springs (Mo.) High School, and Coach Bobby Douglas of Iowa State.

It was a good clinic. KWCA did a great job setting this deal up. Coach Bickley had a great session, Hagerty did a nice job, and Coach Douglas kept things simple and basic. I know that a few were disappointed that he did not get a little more advanced, but early in the season the drills that he presented were good review.
